New Zealand

Welcome to my clean and revamped Blog!  I will try to start posting on a semi-regular basis, maybe throw up some writing or something.  Don't hold me to it! There are some of you who are looking for my itinerary on my trip to New Zealand..... Behold!  In all it's epic glory!

Monday October 15th
Arrive in New Zealand at 7:30 AM.  Pass Out.

Tuesday October 16th
Waitakere Trip with my Dad

Wednesday October 17th
Drive down to Matamata to go to Hobbiton.  I am essentially a giant hobbit so I should fit in!

Thursday October 18th
Head to downtown Auckland to show Samantha the sights.  Also realize the city has completely changed in the last decade.

Friday October 19th
Driver around the Coromandel Peninsula backwards (in that I drive past Thames to the East side, drive up and around to Coromandel).  Stay the night in Coromandel Town.

Saturday October 20th
Drive to Thames for MY SISTERS WEDDING - YAY GO SIS!

Sunday October 21st
Wake up, wonder where my pants are.  Find them, drive to Rotorua and visit Tamaki Maori Village.

Monday October 22nd
Drive to Paraparaumu via Ohakune.  Hope no volcanoes explode.  Stay with my boy Marcus.

Tuesday October 23rd
All day Lord of the Rings trip around Wellington.  Stay there overnight.

October 24th
Te Papa in the morning then across Cook Strait.  Stay in Picton.

October 25th
Drive to Christchurch.  And thats about all I'll manage on that day.

October 26th
Edoras!!!!! All day trip.

October 27th
Get up, drive over Arthurs Pass to Greymouth, then on to the Franz Joseph Glacier.

October 28th
On to Queenstown via Wanaka and some fried fish.

October 29th
Queenstown Stuff - What? Neither of us have been there before so we're doing tourist stuff!

October 30th
Head to Manapouri and Te Anau

October 31st
Head to Kaitangata

November 1st
Spend quality times with my relatives, especially my bad-mamma-jamma nana who is in her 90s!

November 2nd
Head to Dunedin, visit the Cadbury Factory and then fly back to Auckland

November 3rd
Fly back to the US of A.

And there it is.  A pretty busy trip but theres a lot I wanted to do, and a few special places I wanted to show my girl Samantha.


  1. This is as MONDO as it gets. If I were the jealous type, I'd be green. Kinda bittersweet, I'll never get my trip to Aotearoa, but I'm glad you get to go for such an epic holiday. xox

  2. Do you need a lift from the airport? I'd be happy to go out and pick you up.
